Distinguished EMT and educator with a proven track record at Jefferson Health NJ, adept in vital signs monitoring and fostering student curiosity. Excelled in emergency medical care, enhancing patient outcomes and educational standards. Demonstrated exceptional ability to maintain composure under pressure, ensuring optimal patient care and student engagement.
I received the National BEE(Being Exceptional Everyday) award in November 2024. I was nominated by a nurse for helping new technicians, nursing students, and nurse externs debrief about a traumatic cardiac arrest that arrived into our emergency department. With all of my fellows being new to practicing in the medical field, none of them have ever had to experience something as graphic as this before. I debrief what happens medically with the patient as to the effects of trauma had on the body and how "us" as medical professionals handle these emotions to these traumatic events.
