Sarah Jane Gibney

Well-merited English Tutor offers tutoring and instructional support in English and Language Arts academic or occupational areas to help students progress academically while promoting independent learning and self-reliance. Assists in developing and improving English competency by integrating and applying effective study skills, active reading and note-taking and test-taking strategies. Tutors students in creative writing labs and provides distance learning tutoring services to develop time management, self-discipline and organizational skills.

I was an early and avid talker and generally outperformed my peers in language use and command throughout my academic career. I had the honor of having a poem I composed be chosen for publication in the fourth grade and a play I wrote was staged and performed by my town's library staff. I am currently enrolled in university to earn my Bachelor's in English and I am a member of the Honors Society due to high academic achievement. I love language; it is my strongest skill and greatest talent. I like to say that I am a "word warrior who wields her words like weapons", as I hold that the ability to communicate effectively is a key component of the successful man's arsenal and I demonstrate my understanding of alliteration simultaneously!
