

Energetic Director wears multiple hats in the service of cultivating more equitable frontline workforce opportunities and empowering thriving, healthy, just communities. Promotes value-based healthcare and community based well-being through deploying grassroots community talent around social determinants of health. Work partners include state agencies, policymakers, employers in healthcare systems and community-based organizations, and community health workers. Has led revitalization of the Community Health Worker Association of Rhode Island over past 7 years, raising membership from 500+ to over 1500. Has secured federal and state grants for transformative projects such as combating state’s opioid crisis, integrating CHWs’ pandemic response strategies into systems, and advocating quality compensation and sustainability for CHW workforce. Holds deep knowledge of American historical injustice and resistance, and social work background in behavioral health issues for individuals and families. Seeks to apply skills of motivation and critical analysis to innovative and ambitious social justice projects.
