Working in the pre/post/pacu department. Is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. Provide care to meet the needs of the patient and family. Plan, implement, evaluate and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. Float to various departments to help with the needs of unit, for example GI, ER, and discharge unit. Delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, and availability of resources.

As a RN on rehab department, supervise care and treatments, lead patient assessments, tailor care plans, and address patient concerns to provide exceptional care. Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families, understanding their unique needs to facilitate their recovery. Collaborate and communicate effectively with various departments to ensure coordinated care and provide direct patient care when needed. Serve as a resource for fellow staff, supporting them with complex patient needs and inquiries. Celebrate victories and milestones achieved by our patients.

Worked as a GI tech, scope cleaner, and as a RN in the pre,intra, and post procedure. Assist gastroenterologists and staff during endoscopic procedures. Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment.

Ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures. Sterilize and organize medical instruments. Record and maintain patient data and procedure documentation. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities. Educate patients on pre and post-procedure care instructions.

As a new hospital starting up, I worked various departments due to changes in the system. I worked GI, Cath lab pre/post, and pre/post/pacu. It was also during a pandemic where, I worked in the covid fusion as well.

GI-Participates in preparation of the patient procedures as directed by the physician. Ability to participate in the care of all age groups from pediatric to Geriatric. Performs room set up and tear down to maintain a clean environment for patient care procedures. Reprocesses procedural instruments to ensure instruments are clean, disinfected and/or sterilized and safe for patient care. Provides safe, clean, tested and inspected items by performing the following decontamination functions: accurately operates instrument washers and disassembles and cleans with appropriate solutions and maintains all records relating to the monitoring and testing of the decontamination/disinfection process. Assists physicians with completing screening or diagnostic procedures. Monitors the patient- pre, during, and after. Inform the doctor of any changes. Educates the patient on pre-op and post procedure.

Cath lab pre/post-Educate patients and their families regarding surgical site care, lifestyle, medications and other postoperative information. Manage paperwork, including patient consent forms, charting, and lab results. Collaborate with other team members regarding the care of the patient.

Pre/post/Pacu-Responsible for patient’s admission and pre-operative care, considering all needs, including pre-operative education, escort/family members, psychosocial needs, and acting under established protocols, practices, and standing orders Coordinates pre-operative lab work required for individual patients, documenting and reporting pertinent results. Responsible for the patient’s post-operative care and stabilization; preparation for return to the home environment, considering all needs, including post-discharge care, escort/family members, educational and psychosocial needs, and acting under established protocols, practices, and standing orders. Performs thorough and accurate continual patient assessment, anticipating potential problems and reporting pertinent assessments to the anesthesiologist, supervisor, and/or surgeon appropriately. Documents actions in medical record completely and accurately in a timely manner. Keeps safety of patient, self, and others a primary concern at all times; acts appropriately in an emergency situation. Acts as discharge nurse when assigned, giving holistic and thorough discharge education Demonstrates good nursing knowledge base and rationale for actions

Administered medications and monitored patient responses to ensure optimal care. Collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans. Assisted in the execution of diagnostic tests, ensuring accuracy and timely results.

Educated patients and families on health management and post-discharge care instructions. Our department included cath lab pre/post, GI- pre, intra, and post. Inpatient/outpatient surgical patients. Infusions such as iron, blood products and maintenance infusions

Worked in pre/post outpatient surgical area. Included taking care of pain clinic patients, GI, and outpatient surgeries. This role also included taking care of patients that had to spend one night in our facility.

Pre-Op/Admitting nurse provides nursing care to patients being admitted for surgery. Assessing, identifying, and solving nursing care and pre-operative problems. Starting and monitoring IVs, administering pre-operative medications and performing pre-operative instruction and explanation of patient’s rights and procedures. Recovery phase, assisting the patient through the transition from an anesthetized state to an awake condition. Responsible for assisting and maintaining adequate ventilation, hemostasis and circulation; assessing level of consciousness, providing pain management, and ensuring the safety of the patient until discharge.

Worked in pre/post and urgent care

While working in urgent care, telephone and in-person triage

Provide patient education.

While in outpatient surgery, providing pre and post operation care. Record patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Patients- inpatient/outpatient and GI (pre,intra, post)

Work with other professionals to create treatment plans. Clean and re-dress wounds if needed. Measure vital signs. Monitor changes in behavior and progress. As a flu vaccine nurse, providing flu vaccinations to patients of varying ages as per CDC guidelines. Routinely interacting with patients while answering questions about potential side effects and other issues related to the vaccination process. Traveled to various sites.

Worked Med/surg unit and floated to various departments as a secondary nurse. Utilizes time management skills. Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner.
