Thoughtful and determined individual with a fundraising and service dedicated background. Focused and composed and interested in helping others in the community. Striving towards attending medical school to one day become a doctor. Seeking a volunteer, research, or job experience with an organization that needs someone who want to help improve situations within our community.
Volunteered at a riding center to give people with special needs a sense of mobility and share my love of horses to those with physical disabilities ages 4-97. Led horses and ensure rider safety, which helps stimulate muscle movement and cognitive learning skills. Met amazing people that gave me inspiration that you can do anything.
With this nonprofit organization, helped make care packages, fundraised money for supplies and food, and, in 2016, left on an international service trip to Antigua, Guatemala. Here, helped build a house, and volunteered at the near by children's hospital where we took care of malnourished children. Received an experience that I will never forget and excited to return back to.
Through interactive games and activities, every week, helped educate children on a variety of topics about college and different subjects such as engineering or math.
On Sundays, with a group of girls in my dorm, helped cook a meal for those staying at the hospital to take care of their family members or friends who are ill or injured.
