Along with having sensitive information being sent to each of the appropriate personal in a timely matter. Based on the information given I am using all data base resources to gather information on either subject or reporting party. This can be from minimal information to all information on a subject.
- Determining the significance, validity, and reliability of data and produces written reports for use within the bureau. Use appropriate methods and techniques to handle difficult conversations telephonically and disseminates each to the appropriate personal. Prioritizes all incoming emergency and non-emergency communications identifying the appropriate level of response and notifying respondents accordingly.
- Maintains constant communication with the point of contact for an emergency for the duration of the event or until authority is transferred to the appropriate officials.

- Accessions and processes specific components in accordance with regulatory agencies’ requirements and standards. Ensuring all stages of preparation and processing that unacceptable components are segregated, quarantined, and disposed of appropriately. Performs equipment cleaning and maintenance on the equipment in the Laboratory that are performed weekly. Preparing sample collection from specific blood components for Quality Control purposes. Along with Performing selection of units for shipment to fractionates. This is one of the sections of the laboratory that I am responsible for which is processing and accessioning.
- Maintained a high level of accuracy in test results by following strict quality control procedures.
- Cleaned and sterilized tools and equipment to maximize purity of specimens.
- Some of the other duties that I am responsible for are locating and quarantines unsafe blood components along with discarding unsafe and unacceptable components. Maintains complete, accurate, and legible records of all activities. Importantly Immediately reporting any problems in quarantine system or inability to locate a component to laboratory supervisor and other responsible management staff. Conveys possible errors, omissions, and/or discrepancies to the attention of the appropriate supervisor or designee for further review and action. As I am also following information from other departments for certain blood/other components from Collections Final Review (CFR), Medical Surveillance, Quality Assurance, and medical surveillance. This is another section of the laboratory that I am responsible for which is component release.
