Summary
I believe I am an ideal fit for this position,because my Grandfather developed Dementia when I was a young teenager. I spend majority of my spare time bonding with him ,and understanding his specific needs. As a result of visiting him very often,I have built strong relationships with the other patients,relationships that are strong enough to where they recognize me when I am seen. I have spent my last few years working a summer camp for young children. I allow the kids to freely express themselves in a safe environment, offering mentoring and guidance. I make them feel heard and seen in a room full of kids their age, and I administer support to all of their needs. I recognize that I am using the same skills that I use when I visit my Grandfather and other dementia patients. I believe that as a result of my prior experience , I am an ideal candidate for this position.
