Volunteer, Signature Gatherer

Arizona Works Together
09.2023 - 01.2024

Volunteered on a grassroots AWT campaign to assist various outreach efforts, including signature gathering, awareness events, and social media to help Arizonans from diverse backgrounds and industries understand the significance of unions and why Right to Work laws undercut powerful collective bargaining and worker efficacy.

  • Signature Collection: Adhered to state campaign and legal requirements to successfully amass signatures from eligible voters, while ensuring accuracy, legibility, and confidence.
  • Community Engagement: Helped leadership organize signature gathering efforts as part of the campaign by researching high foot traffic events, keeping track of volunteers and signature sheets. Actively engaged with individuals of different backgrounds to explain the campaign's objectives and garner support.
  • Educational Advocacy: Educated citizens about the significant roles unions play in our country, and that, if Right to Work law was dissolved, everyday workers could more rapidly succeed in achieving better working conditions, pay, and benefits via total dues collection.
