  • I served as the cashier of the department as a Senior Clerk. As well as the Chief Deputy Registrar for Vital Statistics. I made appointments for any patient needing to see the doctor. I inputted all data from the forms they have provided to me. I provided eligibility for those individuals without insurance to see where they fall to pay on a sliding fee. I collected all the money for the debt. For services provided, such as copays, sliding fee payments, and lab fees. I scanned in all insurance cards, photo IDs, and forms. I verified that all insurance is active through multiple insurance programs. I make up all clients' charts for over three clinics each day, with all papers needed for the doctor, along with applying labels to each chart, color-coded by clinic. I verify patients by Social Security number, ID, and date of birth to ensure we are entering the correct data for the correct patient. I requested records from other physicians and sent them out as well when requested by other health care providers. As a senior clerk, I provided all the help needed from the interviewing clerks, getting the answers they needed. I do daily reporting of certain clinics to ensure we are at our daily non-error report that goes to the state. I do the monthly LabCorp report for billing for payment. I issued Florida death and birth certificates for all eligible applicants at the health department, as well as chief deputy registrar. I inputted data for our environmental department when needed. I faxed, scanned, used Outlook email all day, used a calculator, copier, and mail meter. Credit card machine. I answer multiple phone lines. I do billing at the end of the day for all clients for the business office, as requested. HIPAA is the number one thing used on a daily basis. I am a team player, always ready to help when needed. Request records, send out records. I had access to look up patients' Epic if the patient had been seen at a certain facility. Made appointments, rescheduled appointments. Made sure each client received a receipt after billing out.
