I am very excited about caring for animals, which is why I decided to work at a dog daycare instead of pursuing a career in law enforcement or security. I have learned a great deal about how to properly control the dogs I work with, how to safely perform bathing, nail trims, and grooming techniques, etc. I have owned and cared for a number of small animals, fish, and experience handling bearded dragons, etc.

I realize that working at the zoo would require a great deal of training because each animal needs to be cared for in their special ways to keep them safe and healthy. I am willing to put in that time and effort in order to secure a lifelong dream of making a commitment to the career of caring for the animals in the zoo. I am hoping to learn all I can by learning from the experts at the zoo, and also intend on starting an executive certificate on zoology which will help give me a basic level understanding of the animals as well as the requirements, habitats, etc. needed for a variety of species of animals who live at the zoo.
