Savannah Beaulieu

As a volunteer working with children with disabilities, I gained invaluable insights into providing personalized care and support to individuals with unique healthcare needs. This experience honed my ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients and their families, a crucial skill in the role of an RT. Additionally, I developed patience and adaptability in assisting activities and programs to accommodate varying abilities and preferences, which directly translates to the diverse patient population I will encounter as an RT.

In my professional roles, I have further refined skills that are directly applicable to the responsibilities of a Recreational Therapist. Through my 6 years of work experience, I demonstrated my ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure my credibility for a position in the RT program here at East Carolina University.
