My name is Savannah Daigle, a driven 17-year-old who is starting college during senior year with the goal of earning a biochemistry degree for a career in the medical field. I successfully managing three jobs while studying, I prioritize health, gratitude, and excellence while also being flexible and understanding. Transitioning directly to college during senior year of high school due to academic success, I have utilized the NSHSS community to access various opportunities, including travel and connections with influential individuals. My long-term aspiration is to pursue a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology degree, followed by attending Med School to become an ENP.
I decided to volunteer with elders, providing arts and crafts to bring them happiness and make their time more enjoyable.
Over the last year, I've achieved numerous accomplishments. This past summer, I received the NSHSS Scholarship, recognizing my academic excellence. In June 2024, I received the Youth AARC Lifetime Achievement Award in Cancer Research. Shortly thereafter, I spoke at a panel discussion on Innovation in Healthcare in July. After months of diligent effort, I obtained my CNA and PCA certifications and positions in late July 2024.
Additionally, I've been actively developing my stance on Youth AI in Drug Discovery, presenting at multiple conferences. For around 2 weeks, I’d engaged in a Pre-College summer program sponsored by Georgetown University where’d I’d studied Biology and received a Georgetown Transcript. My photography work has also been recognized, earning me an award from the Academy of Art University. Furthermore, I received a recognition title for my poem, "Still Together, Right?".
