For efforts that have led to saving countless lives and raising public awareness about the dangers of impaired driving. The MADD Award honors individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to advancing these goals.


Life Saving Award 2023;

For the life saving measures taken while applying a tourniquet to a driver involved in a motor vehicle accident. The vehicle ran off of the roadway striking a tree. The operator of the vehicle had a large laceration to her thigh. A tourniquet was applied to stop the severe blood loss and she was taken to the hospital be ambulance. The operator of the vehicle survived the injury, and made a full recovery. This award was presented at the 1st Annual New Kent Public Safety Foundation.
