Lead the Network Operations team (eight staff members), serving 6,500 students and 1,000 employees. Serve as the IT capital projects technology lead, responsible for wired and wireless network infrastructure, data center, internet services, VoIP, and campus-wide card access and security camera systems across all Biola facilities.
- Manage Division 27/28 technology scope for all campus construction projects—network infrastructure, access control, and security cameras—across six new ground-up buildings and multiple major remodels, coordinating with architects, low-voltage consultants, MEP engineers, and contractors to maintain university design standards.
- Saved $165,000 on science building project by acting as in-house data/low-voltage subcontractor.
- Oversee the implementation of campus physical security infrastructure—including card access and security camera systems—in partnership with Campus Safety, from design through commissioning, and system turnover.
- Conduct technical reviews of low-voltage and IT shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals using Bluebeam and Procore, validating scope, standards compliance, and constructability.
- Direct risk assessment for the IT scope on capital projects, coordinating with Facilities project managers.
- Maintain detailed documentation, and provide regular updates to IT and Facilities leadership, ensuring alignment on project progress.
- Manage a ~$500K annual network lifecycle refresh fund to plan and deliver campus-wide network infrastructure projects without increasing the lifecycle budget over 15 years.
