I have been in ministry for 20+ years, either as a worship leader, youth pastor, or currently as lead pastor. I studied music theory at Northeast Community College, though I did not complete the degree, I did complete and pass all theory classes. I was also a member of Campus Country, a music group which provided a scholarship to attend Northeast Community College.
At Grand Canyon University I studied evangelical, systematic, and historical theology, along with classes teaching biblical study in proper context. I am also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) and Alpha Chi (AX) Honor societies
I have played several styles of music consisting of country, praise and worship, traditional church music, southern gospel, jazz, rock. I do not read music well, but am efficient in the Nashville number system which is used in the Nashville studios and Campus Country. I have also done much studio work, providing bass guitar, piano, and drum tracks for many different artists. I have recently begun to use Logic Pro, an Apple recording software, which is a professional grade software.
I have also taught many students, some who have gone on to professional careers. I enjoy teaching, especially praise and worship leaders and musicians.
