My earliest memory was me sitting next to my dad while he changed out the spark plugs on his 1978 Chevy 1500. Since then I was fascinated with automotive repairs and trying to figure out how everything worked. I spent my early years taking my dads stuff apart, without him knowing of course, just to see how it worked. I had moderate success putting the stuff back together. Through the years I helped my dad rebuild engines and transmissions and work on all the tools required to do so. On my own I have rebuild the engine in my 95 yukon as well as the engine and transmission in my 08 pontiac. I frequently perform maintenance on all our vehicles.
I also have a small farm with Farmall tractors in which I maintain them. I have rebuilt the rear half of a Farmall M tractor.
I started my own solar business and helped to design power inverters. With that came some knowledge of electricity.
I enjoying learning. I do not know everything but I love to learn. I want to know how things work so I can be the one to fix them if they break. I like to be relied on and useful. I consider myself handy in most power tools and woodworking tools.
I worked on a farm for about a year and spent 90 percent of my time in a John Deere 8R 410 and a 9R 640 pulling a Gea EL48 Steerable Manure Spreader. Hauling roughly 8000 gallons at a time about 40 trips a day. This required backing up to a 16 inch spout for refills. I know how to backup trailers. I also did the oil changes and regular maintenance on these tractors.
