Sean Henderson

In charge of scouting, recruitment, and acquisition of players for the First Team, Tacoma Defiance and Academy. Lead player identification and evaluation processes, ensuring alignment with the club's competitive and financial strategy. Took part in over 20 acquisitions of players from outside of the MLS to Seattle over the last eight seasons.

Academy coach from the beginning of the Seattle Sounders Academy in 2010. Played a role in shaping the Development system for the club as well as developing players for the reserve team and first team. Examples: DeAndre Yedlin, Jordan Morris, Danny Leyva, Josh Atencio, Jackson Ragen, Paul Rothrock.

Club coach at the top youth club in the greater Seattle area.

Played for the Seattle Sounders from 1999 through 2004.

Joined Major League Soccer team Colorado Rapids during the inaugural season in 1996. Named Rookie of the Year in 1996 for Colorado Rapids. Started in the MLS Cup Final against DC United in 1997.

Joined Tus Celle of the German third division in 1994. Played two seasons before returning to the United States for the inaugural season of the MLS.

Played for Sigi Schmid at UCLA from '90-'94. Winning the NCAA National title in 1990. All-American 1993. Captain 1993. Academic All-American.

Managed $250 million for Seattle area families. Learned to manage risk, plan long term financial outcomes in uncertain markets.
