Reliable, quick thinking, and versatile describe me well. I learn quickly and retain the information. I prefer to be useful if at all possible, so I often pick up extra work in down time. I have worked everything from manual labor to retail, giving me a decent idea of what is expected of a good employee.
Mostly, I stacked boxes in the back of trailers.
Within three months, I had memorized the destination of the majority of the trucks, and was trained to handle almost every job in the warehouse. This meant that I could quickly and accurately decide the most appropriate course of action in any given situation, while taking into account the effects my decisions would have in the pertinent areas of the facility, and mitigating any problems to other areas.
In the end, I left because I had grown bored of monotonously stacking boxes. Given that the company was run by a union; no amount of excellence would get me a raise or a promotion. With that in mind, I decided to look for a job where merit and competence were foremost in the minds of those who run the company.
I was a party chief for a surveying company. They hired me with no experience. In the three years I was there, I managed to learn how to use all the equipment, and I understood all of the necessary mathematics in the profession. I was effective at managing a team to swiftly acquire field data, format it to be accurate and concise, and ensure it made its way to the engineers to map it. I left this job due to a family emergency that has since been resolved.
I heard from an Tesla employee that Tesla employment beyond menial labor doesn't necessarily require a formal education, but rather competence in the given field. Though you may find my formal education lacking, I assure you that I am easy to teach. I have had many jobs that are not listed here; I only included the jobs that were the most relevant. My family has always trodden the lower edge of poverty, preventing my siblings and I from attaining higher education, and in turn making sophisticated employment nigh impossible. If given an opportunity here, I hope to take it as far as humanly possible. I am passionate about new tech, as I unfortunately lack the skills to contribute directly, I am hoping an internship here could be my first step to one day being able to have a more direct impact technological advancement. Regardless of outcome, if you made it this far you have my sincere, heartfelt gratitude for even looking this deep into the resume.
