  • Support CDC’s Newborn Screening and Molecular Biology Branch (NSMBB) including supporting the Branch Chief with calendar management and special projects and assignments.

  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Domestic and International Travel Management for a Branch of 35+ FTEs.

  • Supports NSMBB Branch as the official Travel Preparer for domestic and international travel. This task is performed using specialized CDC applications including CAMS, ConcurGov, VSTS and CCPS. Requirements are to be fully approved by several levels of leadership and processed when all approvals are complete. Recording overall timelines and deadlines.
  • Prepares travel costs for individual travel to ensure accurate annual travel projections for Branch. Maintain travel projections spreadsheet for current and next fiscal year travel. Ensuring travel costs is kept in line with budget projection. Updating estimate cost with the actual travel cost.
  • Works with travelers ahead of travel to prepare documents, enter travel in ConcurGov system.
  • Works with travelers after travel to complete travel voucher for reimbursement.
  • Collaborates with other travel preparers to troubleshoot any travel discrepancies and ensure CDC travel policies are in line with travel.
  • Is the Branch resources on time management and Tour of Duty assignments.
  • Functions as a Timekeeper to log in time for Branch of 35 + FTEs.
  • Collects and retains supporting documentation for all exceptions to TASNET.
