I started working part time at 14 years of age at the public school as a custodian. Within a year I began working in a retail environment and quickly learned sales and people skills. I then moved into the construction and trades world where you had to be aware of your environment and work under both stressful and dangerous conditions. Through the trades I had to be very self motivated, which allowed me to move into leadership roles and build good relationships with clients as well as learn to communicate effectively and clearly, all while being efficient and self reliant on job sites. I have currently been working construction in Cody, WY For the last year but am hoping to move back to the Bozeman area in the next month.
I worked varying shifts building homes from the ground up in an environment that required large amounts of self motivation, an ability to deal with stressful situations, and problem solve while coordinating with fellow coworkers and colleagues to accomplish our end goals by set timelines.
• Interacting with parents and kids in a public environment.
• Understanding of evacuation and fire drill procedures.
• Ability to work and clean in unpleasant environments.
• Ability to adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
