In my current position as beds and transfer management nurse I use clinical knowledge and standard operating procedures to facilitate transfers into, out of and between all the hospitals in the Henry Ford Health system, in fast paced environment connecting providers, sending and receiving care teams, medical transportation, and financial clearance to lead the process to efficiently and safely move patients between facilities to the right location and appropriate level of care so patients can continue their care progress.

As a bed manager Within the System Capacity Command Center (SC3), I coordinate and optimizes patient flow across acute adult and pediatric facilities to promote quality, service excellence, patient- and family-centered care, and maximize throughput. As a bed manager I own end-toend patient flow processes as well as clinical and operational issues surrounding patient placement and care progression in partnership with medical and nursing staff. Function as the liaison and work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and variety of internal and external resources to meet patient flow objectives and resolve issues.

• Provided direct patient care, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
