With TESOL and linguistics master degrees, I have effectively utilized my expertise in Arabic language teaching with a diverse range of students. Whether in-person or through virtual classes, I have taught university students, government and non-governmental employees. My experience includes working with adult learners and young gifted students at the prestigious Johns Hopkins CTY program. Since 1985, I have been dedicated to teaching non-native Arabic speakers, utilizing platforms such as Zoom, WebEx, Go to Meeting, and Skype. In virtual teaching, I prioritize integrating authentic materials with tailored curricula to meet the unique needs of each student and help them achieve desired proficiency levels. Throughout my career, I have employed various teaching methodologies including student-centered approaches, communicative techniques, suggestopedia, and the "Present-Practice-Produce" method. By incorporating authentic resources from day one, students feel fully immersed in Arabic language and culture. Moreover, my eleven years as an OPI tester trainer and Text Typology trainer from 1995-2005 have equipped me with the skills to assist language learners in reaching professional proficiency in Arabic. In 2018, I became a professional educator after completing training by the Center of Teaching Effectiveness in Florida.
