  • As a railcar electrical mechanic, I was responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical components on diesel/electric, and electric locomotives. I would inspect relays, contactors, fuses, traction motors, motor alternators and HVAC for unusual smells, overheating and small changes in the visual appearance and I would determine the need for corrective actions. To continue, I would work on cab signal and perform the ACSES and ATC test.
