Prior to obtaining my Registered Nurse License, I was employed in many physician offices performing various nursing and administrative duties for approximately 15 years, such duties included; scheduling appointments in specialists offices, verification and pre-certification of insurances, refilling prescriptions, administering injections, along with phlebotomy, ICD-9 and CPT coding, assisting physician in a fast paced clinic, obtaining vital signs, histories, obtaining intake assessments via telephone, as well as assisting with gynecological exams, scheduling of mammograms, and home visits in an assisted living environment, along with other inpatient and outpatient assignments.
