Highly experienced Physical Therapist with varied background in the clinical setting of a facility as well as the more autonomous setting of home health. In the home, the skill set required "thinking outside the box" more often than not, and allowed a broad scope of practice to develop over many years for critical thinking. This involved honing case management skills, supervision of many PTAs at one time, constant assessment and re-assessment of comorbidities in sometimes very ill, medically fragile patients.
I began practicing yoga when my son was one year old-he is now twenty. I have not practiced it consistently over the years, but it has given me a great adjunct to balance activities in my practice even though I cannot document it as such. I have been active in some form or fashion since I graduated college and I view myself as someone who is always learning something. I love cooking, gardening, aromatherapy, skin care. My children both played sports their entire lives, so I was heavily involved in everything they did. My son is now a collegiate baseball player. One of the reasons I was so involved in home health for so long was that it allowed me the flexibility to be so involved in my children's school's life.
