provided a safe nurturing educational environment for the kids that i watched. We did daily crafts and a lot of sensory activities. and the two that were old enough to do letters we worked on educational activities. I ended up having to close my in home daycare because once I had my little guy he needed more therapies than just first steps and parents as teachers we were spending hours at therapies per week and it was becoming too hard to schedule them at night.
Working with adults and kids with developmental disabilities. Enriching their lives to be as best as
possible. Attending outings helping integrate our residents into the community. Helping
with feeding and hygienic needs. Working one on one with each resident to help them
meet their goals. Also being comfortable with dealing with multiple behaviors and
personalities. Helping them become more independent in everyday tasks. The only reason why I left here was I needed flexibility to be my moms caegiver.
