Key Initiatives

  • Emergency Room Outpatient EHR Launch, As the primary support specialist for the hospitals custom Electronic Health Record system, I assisted the developers in the overnight deployment of our new EHR system while assisting the medical providers and clinical staff during the transition. My primary focus was the customization of their user accounts and also monitoring HL7 messages to ensure that all data transactions were properly received by the new system.
  • Technical Training, I have created extensive training manuals and lectures for multiple applications to ensure user compliance for all applications within our custom EHR ecosystem. This includes but is not limited to our outpatient emergency room application, an inpatient hospital care system, a patient registration system, a mobile health record application, and an outpatient doctor’s office application.
  • Cancer Center Migration, I Spearheaded a project with the Network and Security team to migrate our current Oncology EMR system to new servers while working with our Vendors to upgrade the application to a newer version. This required extensive validation testing after to ensure that the application was back up and running to ensure no downtime for the end users.
  • Outpatient Doctors Office Rollout, I Assisted with the hospitals first ever outpatient doctor’s office rollout as the onsite Support Specialist. The implementation document that I help create became the standard for 50+ subsequent rollouts for hardware and software configuration.
