Sharon Ekombe

Disciplined and mission-driven member of the National Guard with specialized training in infantry operations through the completion of One Station Unit Training (OSUT). During this period, I developed expertise in tactical operations, weapons handling, and team-based mission execution, while also earning a diploma in Infantry OSUT training and completing a 40-hour Combatants Level 1 training course.

When I was in AFJROTC, I served as the Public Affairs Officer, and I developed strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. I was responsible for managing both internal and external communications, including drafting press releases, creating social media content, and delivering public speeches. This role enhanced my ability to work effectively with others, as I led a team of cadets in coordinating events, handling logistics, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Additionally, I gained experience in public speaking, professional writing, and digital media management. I learned to think critically and adapt quickly to challenges while building relationships with local organizations and school officials to promote our unit’s initiatives. Overall, this position helped me refine my problem-solving skills and taught me how to present information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
