I will be interfacing with Publishers' Representatives to help curate the Children's and Young Adult sections of the store.

I have started doing Community Outreach, already resulting in more visibility and sales.

Most of my volunteering centers around Children's Literature and accessibility for all children and young adults.

I started a Children's Authors and Illustrators Faire at our local public elementary school. In addition to raising much needed funds for the school (through book sales), children in our diverse community were able to experience a free event featuring many incredible Children's Book Creators.

I give free book talks to students in low income schools and/or support classes. All students then receive at least one free book. The response to signed Dav Pilkey prints from some of the 'too cool for school' students was incredibly heart-filling.

I donate thousands of free books to The Children's Book Project in San Francisco. I also helped them market their 30th Anniversary and procured authors and illustrators to present at the event.

• Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of the Children's Literature Industry and keep book knowledge up to date
• Present Book Talks to groups of parents, teachers, librarians, and students
• Have continuously published a newsletter since 1997

• Run Book Clubs on-line and in person for ages 10-16

• Co-Teach a course called Black Civil Rights History Through the Lens of Children's Literature to grades 5-10
