I began mural painting when my 2 sons were small. I let them pick what colors they wanted and painted things on their bedroom walls that were meaningful to them at the time.
A few years later in 2004, when my sons were in school at Hixson Elementary, the school "found out somehow" (!) I'm an artist and hired me to paint some murals for their cafeteria, office and 4th grade hallway. ,
In 2009 I was hired by Lake Winnie to do mural work and other painted projects throughout the park.
Also in 2009, I did work for Ronald McDonald House-they had an under the sea themed wall mural that needed finishing so I did that. It was done in the stairwell of the building where the families of the sick kids stay. I followed the plan I had for the mural but also added to it, using suggestions & requests from the kids who would come through there. Big fun!!
In 2009 I also did work for Chattanooga Room in the Inn. I did a small wall mural depicting the CRITI logo plus other mural work up their stairway. There also I took requests & suggestions from the kids who were staying there with their moms.

I'm still making greeting cards and selling them in my Ebay store 'Oma's Oddities'.
Caregiving for my combat-wounded Army veteran husband is still ongoing, thankfully. Other family members who needed our care for awhile are no longer in need.
