- This Research study entails the genetic structure of the Male Sindhi population. Acquired over 250 samples, to analyze DNA variations in male-specific populations. Used 17 YSTR markers over a period of 12 months to identify the variations in the samples collected.
- The considerable divergence was examined on these markers in different populations.
- These analysis brings forward the rich gene pool of the population with 157 unique haplotypes and haplotype diversity with an average of 0.9817.
- This study was one of a kind in the country as it contributed like never before to the highest number of Sindhi population samples collected for uniparental (Male) (Y Chromosomal STR) marker analysis; making it a biggest contributing factor towards DNA database of the country which can be utilized for various forensic use cases.
- Maintained confidentiality of all patient information to conform to internal and other regulatory standards.
- The following techniques were applied to make this research successful: Collected Blood samples, Extracted DNA from the Blood using organic method, DNA Quantification using Real time PCR, DNA amplification was done using a Y-filer kit, Genetic Analyzer was used to Genotype PCR product, Statistical tests were applied on Genetic Data.
