I believe my previous jobs and skills would be an easy transition to the Life Skills Worker position at Maple Manor. My position as Caseworker at The Salvation Army gave me vast experience with assisting clients with budgeting, networking services with other agencies and providing as required services based on the clients needs. Over the years I have developed efficient oral and written skills in each position I have held. I also have a compassion and empathy for those who are less fortunate and suffering through mental illness and addictions.
My Position as a Residential Worker includes but not limited to the following skills; knowledge of the purpose, goals, and objectives of the drug and alcohol recovery process, Knowledge of drug and alcohol support program practices and community resources, ability to develop and maintain a sympathetic and understanding attitude when working with program clients, ability to learn and apply simple principles and methods of drug and alcohol rehabilitation to facility residents. Effective communication orally and in writing is essential in developing and maintaining an effective working relationship with the clients.
Duties of office clerk included but not limited to; balancing cashier's drawers, customer service, daily deposit to bank, entering daily reports, documenting inventory and assist cashiers.
I have spent many years volunteering my services to the PTA, sports boosters, The Salvation Army, American Cancer Society and served 4 years on The Warren County School Board.
