Perform dual roles as Unit Clerk and Patient Care Technician. Unit Clerk Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain files and logs, perform clerical duties such as answer phones and call lights, stock and manage supplies, transcribe orders, schedule and cancel appointments, schedule labs and tests. As Patient Care Technician the responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Monitor vital signs, fluid intake, output and blood sugar levels. Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, bedpan, urinals and transferring. Answer call lights and aided in patient comfort and safety by adjusting bed alarms, lights, bed rails. Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and standards.
