I worked at the Berks County Residential Center as a care counselor. As a counselor, my job was to oversee the residents at our facility were taken care of with their day-to-day needs. I helped them navigate life at the shelter by helping with structured activities. Their basic needs were met, all while making sure they followed the rules and policy set forth by the facility.
The last year and half of my time at the facility, I stepped into the kitchen position where I provided nutritional meals prepared under the guidelines of the facility.
I have acquired my Serv Safe Certification which is up-to-date until 2027.
