As a Grow Your Own Apprentice at ERES, I have gained quality hands-on experience in the classroom for the last 3 years. I have taught Tier 2 and 3 Reading RTI groups and collaborated with my mentor and our lead interventionist when instruction needed to be adjusted. I am a mentor teacher for our check in and check out program. I work alongside my mentor and the second grade team when lesson planning, and I always share thoughts and ideas when appropriate. I have taught whole group instruction under the supervision of my mentor in Skills, Knowledge, and Math. I am familiar with the technology that is available at my school and use it daily when teaching. I have experience of communicating with families through Class Dojo and have participated in parent-teacher conferences alongside my mentor. I attend PLC meetings, team planning, faculty meetings, and professional development days to further educate myself in the field.
