This is the second firework company i have worked for seasonally. Bringing my overall experience int this feild to a total of six years between both companies. As tent manager, my responsibilities are to hire my own employees as well as overnight security, manage and pay out all employees. Managers come into an empty tent. We set up tables, lights, signs, register, ect. We receive and take inventory. Unload and price product. set up tent with product. We work over 13 hour days. We man the register, while also walking the floor daily, interacting with costumers, selling the product. closing at night, which consist of a register count and making sure security is set in place until the next day. This is normally a strictly commission based pay. So a managers over all goal is to completely sell out entire inventory. Afterwards we spend a few days tearing down the tent and packing up anything that is leftover to send back to the warehouse. We treat the business as if it is our own because we are fully in charge of pretty much everything.
