  • Shop Experience 1, 2, and 3, are mandatory mechanic experience building courses at Moody Aviation for pilot-mechanics. It allowed pilots like myself to keep building their experience as A&P mechanics while allowing them to continue flight training, by having them work on live aircraft for a week after every two weeks of flying.
  • Performed 100hr and progressive inspections on C-206G and C-172R.
  • Work on live aircraft included everything in a typical A&P job. (i.e. servicing engines, AD searches, logbook entries, inspecting mags, timing mags, 500hr alternator inspections, rigging control surfaces, servicing wheels and brakes, engine run-ups, troubleshooting...etc.)
  • Abnormal work included fabricating tools using the lathe, drill presses, sheet metal brakes, TIG welding...etc.
