Working with Harvey Mudd Professor Erika Dyson, I wrote a 19-page research paper on the intersection between Jewish religious beliefs and the scientific invention of lab-grown meat. I researched different scientific processes such as biopsies of cow tissues and extracting a cow’s fertilized egg. Paper Grade: A. Rated “Top 5%” compared to undergraduate students.

My research focused on the cooperation between Druze and Zionist leaders in Mandatory Palestine in the 1930s. I used primary sources in Hebrew from the WZO (World Zionist Organization) archive in Israel and also interviewed experts, such as George Mason University Professor Sumaiya Hamdani, and Gadeer Kamal-Mreeh, the first Israeli-Druze Woman KM.

WORK AND VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
SIGNAL Group: Interned during Gap Year at Israel's first and only China focused think tank. SIGNAL works directly with the Israeli government and counsels them on building and maintaining relationships with China amongst other East Asian countries. Developed internal projects: writing weekly briefings on current events that are happening in China and other ASEAN countries; organizing diplomats' contact references on excel sheets; trip planning logistics for my bosses quarterly trips to the Indo-Pacific. External Projects: Curating and promoting the organization's research on LinkedIn.
StandWithUs International (Remote Internship): Organized and executed four educational events about Israel with the hopes of combating misinformation in my local community of Ojai, California. Worked over 90 hours
Camp Ramah in Wisconsin: Worked for 8-weeks with a team of co-counselors to program meaningful Jewish activities for 60 campers entering 8th grade. Took responsibility for the emotional, social, and physical well-being of 12 in-cabin campers.
Mandarin and History Peer Tutor (The Thacher School): Volunteered twice a week to help students in Mandarin and History. Used my fluent Chinese to aid classmates in learning Chinese vocabulary and sentence structure. Applied my passion for history to guide classmates to research & write argumentative thesis-driven history papers.
Accomplishments
Chinese Speech Competitor
Competed in the Olympics of Chinese speech contests, Chinese Bridge — a global televised speech and talent competition in its 17th year. After 14-days and 4 rounds of competition, I came in as the North American Continent Champion and 2nd place globally. I participated in dozens of media interviews in Chinese and the final show was broadcast to 100 million viewers.

Founder (BBYO Boarding School- Remote): Created the first of its kind, national organization to foster community for Jewish boarding school students; engaged students at 20 schools and created a vibrant Instagram that has been viewed by 5,405 accounts.
