Intern

Krishna Institute Of Medical Sciences
03.2021 - 06.2021
  • Analyzed problems and worked with teams to develop solutions.
  • Sorted and organized files, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Completed research, compiled data, updated spreadsheets, and produced timely reports.
  • Collaborated with senior management on new initiatives to build confidence.
  • Prepared project presentations and reports to assist senior staff.

Student

MINI PROJECT
01.2021 - 01.2021
  • SAPONIFICATION using organic oils such as palm oil, coconut oil, olive, and almond oil by cold and hot process methods and performing pH testing and also the foam testing to test the quality of each bathing bar that was manufactured using the organic method
  • Team: 3
  • Brief Description: Process of production of soap using saponification technique which is the mixture of lye with distilled water using cold process and hot process and comparing them to find out the efficiency of better quality in both
  • Individual Role: Managing the teamwork and performing the research work.

PBL ON BIOPROCESS ENGINEERING
05.2020 - 05.2020
  • Evaluation of nutritional component by Plackett-Burman design for Penicillium citrinum lipase production using palm oil mill effluent, Team size: 2
  • Brief Description: To evaluate the nutritional component by Plackett- Burman design using palm oil mill effluent and the result obtained showed the confirmation that sucrose, peptone, NH4Cl, and TWEEN 80 are the important components required for the activity of Penicillium citrinum lipase production using palm oil mill effluent and olive oil can be neglected
  • Individual Role:
  • Entrusted as the team lead and managed tasks efficiently.

Student

PBL IN MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND GENETICS
11.2019 - 11.2019
  • Association of IL1RN gene polymorphism with type 2 diabetes
  • Team size: 1
  • Brief Description: The present study aimed to evaluate the association between IL1RN gene polymorphism with Type 2 Diabetes
  • To determine the relationship between the IL1RN gene and Type 2 Diabetes, blood samples were taken from people suffering from Diabetes along with an equal number of control samples
  • The analysis of the IL1RN gene was carried out by isolation of DNA, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, and conventional PCR methods
  • Result- It was found that genotypes were not predisposing factors towards Type 2 Diabetes while alleles were contributing to diabetes, the M allele was predisposing while the W allele was conferring protection towards type 2 diabetes.

Student

PBL ON BIOINFORMATICS
10.2019 - 10.2019
  • Avian influenza refers to the disease caused by the infection with avian (bird) influenza (flu) Type A viruses, which naturally occur among wild aquatic birds and can infect domestic poultry and other birds and animal species
  • An infection in humans happens when the virus in the air (in droplets or possibly dust) enters a person’s eyes, nose, or mouth or is inhaled
  • To detect the structure and learn in-depth about the virus, tools such as NCBI, BLAST for recruiting the sequence of the virus and multiple sequence alignment by Cluster omega and finally obtaining the phylogenetic tree of H5N1 AVAIN FLU (BIRD) FLU VIRUS were performed.

Student

PBL ON PLANT BIOTECHNOLOGY
04.2019 - 04.2019
  • Bonsai Plants
  • Team size: 2
  • Brief Description: The various methods to grow and develop Bonsai plants were studied intensively and then applied practically
  • It involved the growing of a plant under normal conditions and another plant constantly being groomed as per the conditions required for a plant to be considered Bonsai
  • The results were fruitful and a Bonsai plant was successfully grown after 3 months.

Industrial Trainee

National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences
05.2018 - 08.2018
  • NIMHANS (2nd year of my bachelor’s degree)
  • Focused on “molecular techniques” such as PCR, RFLP, DNA ISOLATION, and GEL ELECTROPHORESIS, especially on genes specific to severely alcoholic people.

Accomplishments

  • Title: IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY IN CANCER DIAGNOSIS for the identification of specific tissue components by the means of a specific antigen/antibody tagged with a visible label
  • Brief Description: Using IHC markers makes it quite uncomplicated in distinguishing between different types of cancers that occur in different parts of our body
  • It helps in diagnosis as well as determining localized treatment
  • Result: Histopathological techniques were performed on a patient suspected to be suffering from lymphoma, specifically DLBCL because of their advanced age
  • The results were conclusively proved to be positive.
