Shiva Halder

As a volunteer with Heart in Motion, I assisted in organizing and supporting community outreach programs aimed at providing resources and support to underserved populations in the San Francisco area. My responsibilities included:

• Event Coordination : Helping plan and execute community events, such as health fairs, food distributions, and fundraising initiatives to support local families in need.
• Outreach & Advocacy : Engaging with community members to raise awareness about available services and resources, and advocating for the well-being of those facing financial and social challenges.
• Support Services : Assisting with the distribution of essential goods, such as food, clothing, and hygiene products, to individuals and families experiencing hardship.
• Volunteer Training : Assisting in onboarding and supporting new volunteers by providing guidance and ensuring smooth event operations.
• Team Collaboration : Working alongside fellow volunteers and staff to ensure the success of initiatives, contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment.

During my time with Heart in Motion, I gained invaluable experience in community service, learned about the importance of outreach programs, and deepened my commitment to helping those in need.
