• Developed a hypothesis and experiments targeted towards mitigating colon cancer progression using a lean and agile framework to clearly define my research roadmap.
• Studied effect of HuR an mRNA binding protein in colon cancer progression using:

1. Human colon cancer cell lines overexpressing HuR and cell lines with HuR KO through CRISPR-Cas9

2. Trizol RNA extraction and quantification were carried out from these cell lines

3. Extracted c-DNA from these samples and set up RT-qPCR using a 96 well plate and primers to study putative targets of using a 96 well plate and primers to study putative targets of HuR involved in colon cancer progression

4. Immunoprecipitation was carried out to check if HuR interacts with candidates narrowed down through real time PCR studies

5. Performed immunocytochemistry, chromosomal spread with the help of microscopy to decipher effect of HuR on cellular morphology and chromosome count

• Data analysis was carried out for results of experiment using statistical p value tests and graphpad prism software
• Communicated with scientific stakeholders to under pain points in the current experimentation pipeline

• Analyzed the mechanism of pathogenesis in childhood bone cancer
• My studies focused on the effect of the EWS/ FLI1 (an abnormal fusion protein formed during bone cancer) on affecting the process of mitosis
• Executed cell fractionation and to study localization pattern of this fusion protein in cancer cell lines Western blot studies were also performed to check if the fusion protein changed expression level of the mitotic regulators.
• Managed communication between collaborating labs to optimize experimental time frame and increase output

• Performed clinical studies using medical imaging products such as electroencephalography (EEG) to measure focused and divided attention
• Modified experimental workflow after taking into account difficulties of the subjects during the study to optimize results

• Worked on an assay for non-invasive early diagnosis of Chronic
• Myelogenous Leukemia and other Myeloproliferative neoplasms Designed a microfluidic lab on a chip device (LoC) that produces efficient early stage diagnostic results
• This product could potentially detect colorectal cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma and 15 other types of cancer
• It can also indicate risk, stages and highlight relapse time of these cancers
• Collaborated with a team and pitched our idea in the International
• COMSOL conference to various institutions and lawyers to file a provisional patent
