Shravani Sirsat

I am a dentist with four years of experience treating patients ranging from rural to urban areas. I am currently enrolled in Mercer University's Master of Public Health program. My desire to improve the oral health of individuals and communities has led me to actively participate in a number of initiatives aimed at increasing oral health awareness and education. I am currently working as a Quality Assurance Intern on the BroadStreet Institute's CHNA team. I'm also on the Analytic team, where I'm creating an analytical report on the team's projects. I have also worked with Mercer University on an HRSA project. I conducted a comprehensive literature review and environmental scan, analyzing existing research in the field to identify research gaps and areas requiring further investigation.

• Worked on HRSA project in collaboration with Mercer University. I contributed to the team by undertaking a number of critical tasks. One of my primary responsibilities involved meticulously reviewing and screening a wide range of academic papers to ensure their relevance and applicability to our research objectives. In addition, I skillfully summarized and organized the findings of these papers to provide a clear and concise overview of the most pertinent information. As part of this process, I conducted a comprehensive literature review and environmental scan, carefully analyzing existing research in the field to identify gaps and areas for further exploration.
• For my academic coursework, I have developed a theoretically based educational program based on social cognitive theory (SCT) to educate first-year college students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and its dependencies. The program aimed to increase students' self-efficacy and improve their decision-making skills regarding drug use. It also highlights the role of social support in helping students avoid substance abuse and encourages the development of effective coping strategies.
