Postdoctoral researcher with expertise in protein biochemistry and cardiovascular signaling. Ph.D.-trained in biophysical and proteomic characterization of amyloid-like protein aggregates, with multiple peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals. Currently focused on cardiac hypertrophy, redox regulation, and phospho-signaling using cellular and ex vivo heart models. Strong background in mechanistic, hypothesis-driven research bridging proteostasis and cardiovascular disease.
Understanding the molecular mechanisms controlling protein tyrosine phosphatase oxidation and downstream thyroid hormone signaling in cardiac hypertrophy. Ultimately, my goal is to develop novel PTP1B-targeting peptides that destabilizes the oxidized form of PTP1B and increase its catalytic activity in vivo as a potential therapeutic strategy.
