I am passionate about the arts, and I am grateful to be considered for the Ravinia Women's Board. I have fond memories of premiering works on the marimba and steel drum as a youth, and performing concerti at home and abroad. When my performing days ended, I found myself at Walnut Hill promoting music in secondary education, where a highlight was recruiting top talent for the Chamber Music in France and Opera in Italy summer programs. As an academic, I received grants to travel to Asia and Africa to conduct ethnomusicological research, which deepened my appreciation for diversity, and the value of music in all cultures. My experience in music is multifaceted, and I am excited to reconnect with my passion, join the board, and continue promoting and building on Ravinia's music initiatives.
