Utah: Arches, Canyonlands & the Colorado River,
06.2024 - 06.2024
- Through Global Leadership Adventures I went on a two week service trip that began in Utah and ended in Colorado.
- Completed Forest Service and Restoration throughout including trail maintenance as well as invasive species removal.
- The program also focused on leadership and the importance of it with us participating in activities that centered around leading among peers.
- At the end of the program my mentors thought I did a good job as a leader and nominated me to be an ambassador of the trip.
- The trip focused highly on the environment with us never leaving anything behind while camping.
- Teamwork was also a major aspect with us all having to work together to set up our camps ourselves such as our tents, the equipment and we even had to cook for the rest of the camp.
- The service trip did all of this while also incorporating adventure with us wet water rafting on the Colorado river while camping along the way.
- We also went on a hike through the Utah Arches National Park as well as up in mountains to do our service.
