I started to volunteer at the shelter when I was living in Florida last year. I rescued a dog from Florida and then I decided to give back to the shelter by volunteering. I would go once or twice a week to walk the dogs and get them out of their kennels because there was about 100 dogs that needed to be walked. I would show these dogs so much love and compassion when walking them. This carried over into moving to Indiana. The Hobart Humane Society is always looking for foster families for their puppies and I signed up to be a foster family.
