The operations specialist job involves the management of all departments and the status of all divisions within the Naval Vessel. Job tasking includes effective communication with other ships and personnel during sea trials, sending classified or secret messages signed off by the Commanding Officer, handling administrative work for the Operations unit, plotting course maneuvers, keeping a log of the ship's movement and participation in cyber/emergency/damage control training exercises. The "OS" rate analyzes feedback from Officers and executes any and every alteration given from upper levels of leadership to produce more effective results.

Awards given:

Humanitarian Award: For serving during the COVID-19 Pandemic and under government lockdown.

Navy Battle Efficiency Ribbon: For enlisting and serving years of active duty on a Battle Efficient vessel. (Two)

Good Conduct Ribbon: For achieving 3 consecutive years of honorable service to the US military.

National Defense Service Medal: For enlistment during wartime and national emergency.
