Siyona Mishra

I am a recent high school graduate with a strong passion for pursuing a career in medicine. My experiences leading my school's American Cancer Society chapter and shadowing healthcare professionals have shaped my commitment to improving the human condition through medical innovation and compassionate care. I am eager to continue my journey by expanding my knowledge and skills in this field.

Founder/President of Johns Creek High School's American Cancer Society Club 

• Raised and donated $1000 to the A.C.S,
• Hosted zoom calls with patients
• Packaged as well as delivered care packages
• Recruited volunteers for Aurora Summer Camp– a free program for kids with cancer (August 2021- May2024).

Founder/Chapter Head of Johns Creek's Letters for Rose Program

• Raised 200+ letters from volunteers all over the city
• Dispersed 250+ volunteer hours
• Personally delivered these letters to senior living homes (October 2021- current).

• Member of Alpha Xi Delta (current)
• Member of the Circle of Sisterhood Committee (current).
• Shadowing at Align Spine and Pain: Observed 10+ surgeries, analyzed 15+ x-ray readings, measured patient’s vitals, and discussed treatment plans with Dr. Joseph (June 2023).
• Science Olympiad: Competed as the Varsity competitor for Cellular Biology and Environmental Chemistry for Johns Creek High School's SCIOLY team. Acquired better hands-on and critical thinking skills ( August 2022- May2024).
• 1 of 30 accepted participants at the Atlanta Institute for Diplomatic Leadership: Free, held at Emory University. Listened to personal accounts from UN and US foreign service members. Participated in a mock UN simulation on the South Sudanese conflict (June-July 2022).
• 1 of 8 Junior Class Representatives for Johns Creek High School's Student Council. Raised $1000 to Bert's Big Adventure, distributed $800+ to five JCHS student clubs, and organized the Homecoming dance (August 2022- May 2023).

• Georgia Certificate of Merit Recipient (2023): Awarded to the top 5% high school's Junior Year graduating class.
• Presidential Volunteer Service Award (2023): Awarded for completing 150+ hours of community service.
