Skyler Turri

Passionate counselor dedicated to improving lives of individuals struggling with addiction and other behavioral disorders. Having worked with the co-occurring disorders programs, I have an understanding of the mental health aspect of addictions. I have worked closely with other counselors, administration, and clients alike to develop a safe and effective environment to provide treatment. Through working with clients in the harm reduction approach I met clients where they are at in their recovery and emphatically assisted them in reaching the goals decided on together. Motivational Interviewing has allowed me to effectively reach the clients where they are.

During my time at Central Valley Recovery Services, I also worked with Quality Operations in fixing errors and working with the County to ensure the company was in compliance. While working in this administrative role I also worked closely with the residential homes to ensure all notes were completely properly and efficiently. As a result of working in Quality Operations I have the knowledge of correcting billing errors.

I also worked closely in coordinating resident doctors to come in and tour facilities, work with our counselors, and to provide resources to doctors when working with a patient who struggles with addiction.

I currently hold a certification as a Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist.
