● Joined as a Registered nurse and got promoted to team leader in 2018 - till date at the hematology oncology unit: In this position, in addition to patient care duties mentioned below, is able to assign duties for staff nurses, orient and mentor new nurses. Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other multidisciplinary team.

● Administer medications including chemotherapy, transfuse blood and blood product

● Perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in case of emergency situation.

● Prepare patient for various radiological and diagnostic procedure such as Endoscopies, CT scans, MRIs and PET scans.

● Skilled to start intravenous lines, access Pot-a-Cath needle, manage central line catheter such as PICC line, Hickman’s catheter, and Perm catheter.

● Assess the patient pre and post chemotherapy and educate patients and families.

• Duties and Responsibilities:
• Managed a 31 bedded medical unit
• Responsible for managing unit, administration, and attending all clinical meetings in absence of Head nurse.
• Provide and supervise direct nursing care for patients with complex health problems
• Order and maintain supplies
• Prepare and assign daily duty schedules.
• Make rounds with physicians and transcribes orders.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge patients as required.

● Provide direct patient care for medical, pre and post operative patients.

● Preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medication.

● Provide quality care to patients for daily monitoring, recording, reporting and valuating medical and surgical condition.

● Prepare the patient for surgery and pre and post operative health education to the patient and family.

• Provide quality nursing care to all patients with strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Educated patients, families and caregivers on diagnosis and prognosis, treatment options, disease process and management and lifestyle options.
• Proper pain management for all patients with acute and chronic pain.
• Accurately document all elements of nursing assessment, treatment, medications, discharge instruction and follow-up care.
• Safely administer Chemotherapy and Biotherapy agents.
• Maintain and manage central lines, access implanted port and manage catheter devices.
• Administer TPN, IV medication, fluids, blood and blood products.
• Provide direct care to patients with colostomy, wounds, fistulas, drain, and other complicated wounds and continence disorders.
